She Sits on the Edge..: Haiku

Day 12

Prompt: Koi Pond

 Shared With

She sits on the edge
of  Koi pond, mesmerised;
ah, colourful fish

Ah, colourful fish
try to catch her reflection;
moon floats serenely

Moon floats serenely
amidst the fish in koi pond;
a birds flies over

A bird flies over
betraying nightly silence;
moon-lit water shines

Moon-lit water shines,
her smile creates ripples;
she sits on the edge

  12. A bird flies over, betraying the nightly silence. Usually birds are still at night. What do you wish to convey ? I didn't understand.

    1. Kalpana...

      Take it as an innocent flight of a poetic mind...Haiku is all about creating images...and I bet you did see a bird flying over...even if it usually doesn't happen...enjoy the flight of imagination..why make an effort to understand...few things need to be left the way they happen to be...

  16. Fascinating and RS you have outdone yourself here today!! :)

    The imagery here is superb....

    'Moon floats serenely
    amidst the fish in koi pond;
    a birds flies over'

    Must add that every line with ref to the Moon is a pleasure to read!!

    1. Aha, Nanka...I got this 'have outdone yourself' for perhaps third time if I can recall...this is what really helps me... when I sit to write ..such wishes help my heart, mind and soul become one and I see things in my mind and the words flow...they really do..don't know from where...perhaps they are born out of the positive energy all the kind hearts release here in this space..

      Please keep visiting...I read your haiku..and what colourful pictures you have... will ask someone to help me find a way to comment on your haiku..
